The Weirdest Funko Pop Figures
As you can tell here at Garrison City Toy Works we love Funko Pop Figures. Our Funko Pop Shop is one of our most popular sections and we are always looking to add more to it. Collecting Funko Pops is a lot of fun and while it is easy to look at the rare and expensive. We thought we would have a little bit of fun by looking at what us here in the Garrison City Toy Works office consider to be the weirdest Funko Pop figures….. so far.
Jurassic Park: Dr. Ian Malcom
Jeff Goldblum is the man and this Funko Pop figure which is part of the 25th anniversary of Jurassic Park is awesome and weird. There had already been an Ian Malcolm figure by this point, but the one we are talking about is special. This is sexy Ian Malcolm. From the scene in the movie where he is hurt and for some random reason has his shirt open showing off his body. Figures like this are what make Funk so great, who else would think to make a figure like this?
The Golden Girls: All Of Them!
You get a Funko of pretty much everything 80’s pop culture related so really this one should not be that surprising as The Golden Girls were very popular. This was a show that was a hit with so many different kinds of people from kids to adults. However, we doubt that when little 9 year old Billy in 1988 was watching it he wished for Golden Girls action figures. Well, Funko as a lover of all things pop culture decided to make a whole series of Golden Girls figure and you know what…….. They are fantastic! Who a few years ago would have imagined walking into a Funko Pop Store and seeing The Golden Girls?
Tupac
Tupac was the man in the 90’s. He was a rap superstar and he is still incredibly popular to this day. Funko has made a ton of music Funko Pops, but there is just something a little odd about a shelf containing Winnie The Pooh, Boba Fett and then the man who was all about the THUG LIFE, Tupac! In all honesty, this is a very well done Funko Pop and it is great that fans finally have a cool and fun Tupac figure to put on their shelf. When you are browsing a Funko Pop Shop Tupac is certainly a figure that will always catch your eye.
Bob Ross
Thanks to Netflix, YouTube and Twitch you could argue that Bob Ross is more well known and popular now than when his show was on TV during the 80’s and 90’s. Funko got in on this and they have produced a couple of amazing Bob Ross pops. The Bob Ross Funko Pop figures capture him so well. You get him with his art supplies, with a raccoon, an owl! There is just so much love put into these figures that you cannot help, but smile and then there is Deadpool as Bob Ross, but that is a story for a different blog post!
Game Of Thrones: Ned Stark
There are a ton of Funko Pop figures based on Game Of Thrones, but the one we find a little weird (but still really cool) is the Ned Stark figure. Not the standard Ned Stark figure, but the one that is based on the events at the end of the first season…. Headless Ned Stark this Funko Pop figure actually has Ned with his head cut off and a lot of blood on it.
